santa

if you've noticed, so many of the pictures we've posted lately are pictures of j's "first______." all of you with kids probably know where we're coming from. everything is so exciting with your first child (as i'm sure it is with the rest as well:D). we had a fun family christmas party and a special visitor came. j got to sit on santa's lap and for a moment it looked as if j was going to reveal to all the other kids who was actually behind that white beard he kept tugging on.

sunday's best

j had on a tie for the first time today at church. he looked absolutely handsome as could be!!! we had so much fun taking pictures (the bee was used occasionally to make him smile). he is the cutest little man!

easily amused

out of all the many toys j has to play with, he has favored one toy above all the rest. yes, it's true, this little bumble bee wrist wrap makes him laugh and smile whenever he sees it. he can be so hungry, tired, bored or whatever and the second he takes a look at mr. bee, he forgets all his worries and can't help but laugh. you all have to see it.

photo shoot

early this morning, j and i had a little photo shoot. i have been wanting to take pictures with him in the baby blanket that i (and rachy's mom, jo) made him. it is the softest blanket and j loves it so much!

girlie boy

you may be thinking, who is that girl on your blog? well, no worries....it's actually my little son. why are we then dressing him in girlie clothes???? his little cousin, annie, was kind enough to let him borrow her clothes because his novice parents didn't bring enough warm clothes for him in st. george. so don't be worried, we don't cross-dress our son on purpose (unless absolutely necessary:D)...though we did get a kick out of him being in pink and yellow. so funny! poor kid, he's going to despise us for doing such things when he's older.

matching

j and i were matching one day over the weekend. even though i dressed him, it was not on purpose. i didn't even notice for a few hours. i love his ducky outfit!

turkey day smiles

j had so much for on thanksgiving. he was quite the ham in the middle of the table during dinner. he loved the attention and his uncle took some great pictures of him. he's all smiles!

sensory overload

j got his christmas present early...he absolutely loves his new world. i've got to be careful not to put him in it too much, it's just too much stimulation all at once:D it's so much fun watching him discover new things as he learns and grows. we love him more than words can tell and are so blessed to have such a wonderful happy son in our family.

dancing lessons

daddy was teaching little j how to dance so he could get the ladies.


daddy's efforts have already paid off...little j has captured his mother's heart with his smooth moves.

j had so much fun on halloween. he went trick-or-treating and got lots of candy. i hope he's not allergic to peanuts like his daddy!

we loved dressing j up for a halloween party with his cousins, though from the look on his face, i'm not sure how much fun he enjoyed being dressed up.

can you guess what we were for halloween? hunters!!! you almost need to squint when you look at these pictures because the orange is sooo bright.

the rookie

we had fun dressing j up in his rookie sleeper and taking pictures with his yankee fan dad. he also looks so cute in his little ducky outfit. but let's be honest here, he looks adorable in anything we put him in!
