Home Sweet Home

We had SO much fun on our trip to Utah! Nothing is better than being with family and spending time with those you love. Though we miss everyone immensely, it is really nice to be home and back to normal. Jorgen was so excited to see all of his stuffed animals and all of his toys were like new to him. Now is time to get ready to move and make a new home...

Here are some other random pictures:

Jorgen LOVES his stuffed animals...two are his, the bears, and the other two bunnies are mine and Shelleys but Jorgen has adopted them. He likes to set them all up in a row, whether it is on his bunk bed, on the couch, or where ever he is playing. He's so cute!!

We went to a birthday party for two of Jorgen's friends and it was at the neatest place, Safari Run. I dressed the kids up in their "safari outfits" - Jorgen had a rhinoceros shirt and Shelley wore her Jene' inspired zebra outfit.

Hansen Family Picture August 2008

We had a family picture taken right before we left for Yellowstone. I haven't seen the ones the photographer took but these were taken with Dan's camera and I think they turned out well.

What a bunch!!!

Nana and Papa with their cute grandkids!
Jorgen wasn't used to sharing his Papa at first...look at his little smirk!
Shelley wasn't the happiest little camper either - but still a cutie!

And some couple shots...

The Last Geyser

This was the last stop on our way out of Yellowstone. It was such a neat geyser - the colors were so brilliant!!

This pictures shows the effects of the 1989 fire - and all of the new growth! So neat how nature works!

Camp Site

We had lots of fun one afternoon just hanging out around the camp site. Nana and Papa came with lots of crafts and things to do. Jorgen and Annie loved the little guns and the other girls had fun making necklace. Jorgen and Justin tried to play frisbee but Jorgen still needs to work on his frisbee throwing skills.

What a good sport Shelley was with the cold. She looked so darling all bundled up each night. Pink, pink, and more pink!

Upper and Lower Falls

The waterfalls in Yellowstone are incredible! My favorite was the lower falls with their jagged walls. There are geysers along the walls and the walls are so colorful. Like nothing I've ever seen - pictures just don't do it justice!

Yellowstone Cont...

We saw so many beautiful sites! Nature really is amazing and it was so good to be together as a family enjoying it without the interference of cell phones and computers.

We saw the neatest geyser - it was all mud! muddy clay would bubble and spew out of the center. It was so interesting and neat! If you look closely, you can see the mud spewing out.

As we drove around the park, we saw lots of wildlife. Bull Elks, deer, buffalo, buffalo and more buffalo. One morning, Jorgen, Justin and his dad and brothers got up at 4am to drive to a more remote part of the park a couple hours away to try and see more wildlife and they spotted a wolf eating a buffalo carcass and thought that was pretty neat. I'm so glad that Yellowstone has been preserved. There is so much beauty in it! So much of the world is being overrun by Superstores and housing it's nice to know some of the land is being preserved.

Little Miss Shelley enjoyed herself in her carseat! She is also pictured in many of the other photos but she is either under a blanket or in the Bjorn.
