I was there during the 1989 fire. I was 10. Our grandparents had a cabin in Island Park, and we were having a reunion that summer. I remember tons of smoke and the full moon being dark orange from all the fire. We could also see all the airplanes fighting the fire in the sky!! I'm so glad everything is growing back so well!!
