happy birthday, papa!

we dressed our little jorgen up all handsome and cute and made a birthday card for papa! he makes the funniest faces! i love the smug look, like he's exhausted from all the hard work...so funny!

the adventure of a baby squirrel

a few days ago justin told me that he got a pet for jorgen. hmmm, what kind of pet? well, he told us to come in the bedroom and outside in the window well, there was jorgen's new pet. a little baby squirrel. it got stuck down in the window well and couldn't get out. justin left to go find something to help free the poor little guy. while he was gone, the little squirrel got a little impatient and tried scaling the screen....it worked, he made it to the top of the well and jumped off the screen and back into familiar territory. good for him!

road kill

because we had to eat on the road a lot, i often fed jorgen in the car. the last time i fed him solids(luckily) was at the church, after our last meeting. the bid was pretty dirty so we put it on top of the car so i could wipe it off after i nursed jorgen. well, after never came. later on that night, i had an 'oh no' moment. i realized that we never retreived the bib and i was so bummed because that meant i'd have to buy a new one (if you read one of my earlier posts, this bib was included in my top five items that are must haves for babies). i accepted the loss, but early this morning (our flight to come back to slc, was at 6am, so i'm talking REALLY early this morning, around 4am) we decided to drive by the church because it was on the way to the airport and we found the bib. it wasn't in the church parking lot like we thought, it fell off on the street near the church and it had suffered a serious beating (the bib used to be yellow). we had a good laugh at the bib's expense and decided to take some pictures. i guess we left our mark in palo alto.

meals on wheels

ok, so not really on wheels, more like in wheels. well, what i am trying to say is that almost all of jorgen's meals where in the car, on the go, and all over the place. he did pretty well, however, as the last picture portrays, he did lose it on occassion. overall though, he did have so much fun on the trip, especially with tutu. if you can see his cute hair, tutu was the creator of that style, curly-j...love it. tutu kept him so happy, hence the super gummy smile (still waiting for those upper centrals to poke through). i love my son!

yummy oranges

jorgen enjoyed his first orange. we got a kick out of his orange smiley face. he is really such a character. i think tutu looks especially beautiful here!

Stanford

my mom was so kind and selfless to accompany me and jorgen to palo alto to look for housing. we had such a great time and it was so good to be able to see to where we will be moving. as far as the city goes, it is beautiful!!! we couldn't be moving to a more beautiful place! we didn't find the apartment we will be moving in to but we did meet a lot of wonderful people who are on the look out for us and i know something will come up. we visited three of the ward in the area (yeah, we were diligent church goers from 9-5 on sunday....jorgen was definitely ready to be done with it all by the last ward). these pictures were taking on saturday morning when we went on a walk around the buffer zone that seperates stanford from the rest of the city. in the future, i will enjoy many long walks in this area. i can't wait!
