caterpillar on the cob

look very very closely...can you see it. if it was a video you would see it moving and eating it's way through the luscious corn ever so slowly. it looks so comfortable in there... YUCK! i go to the farmer's market every saturday and buy all sorts of yummy, fresh, organic veggies and fruit. they are so delicious....i cannot buy conventional tomatoes anymore because they have hardly any flavor. i don't know what i'll do once the market ends in december but i will survive. the only downfall to buying non-sprayed produce is that bugs seem to be more prevelant. i bought corn almost every week for the past few months but last week and this week we found caterpillars in our corn!!!! the first time we saw one justin was shucking the corn and he showed it to me and i only saw the head of the caterpillar and i thought it wasn't a very big deal and then he gave me a closer look and turned the corn a bit and there it was...it was ginormous (as kinnon would say, or used to say). i thought i would lose it right there. we didn't get a picture but this week i was extra careful while shucking the corn and sure enough, i found a few caterpillars. this one was the best, but not nearly as huge as the first one. looks tasty right?
