A Great Long Weekend!

Last weekend was such a blast! We started it out early with a Thursday morning BizKids trip to the San Jose Children's Museum. Jorgen had a blast!

This is air/ball structure was really neat. It entertained Jorgen for half an hour or so. He kept coming back to it and had a lot of fun with it.

Painting is always fun! Especially when they have cute little aprons for the kiddies! I need to make Jorgen one that he can wear at home for crafts and/or cooking with Mommy time.

After we got back from the museum the kids both took naps and then we headed over to the Crowder's home. We watched four of the most amazing kids for the weekend. And though I was a single mother of six for a time (Justin was in Dallas for an interview for the first 24 hours I was there) it was so much fun! They are such wonderful kids! Jorgen had so much fun with them and they all loved playing with him. It was really like we were all on vacation.

They have the best set of blocks I have ever seen. Jorgen almost forgot about his trains he was so consumed with these blocks (he eventually incorporated his trains into block building...the blocks became tracks and homes for the trains he brought...funny boy!).

I took the girls on a gals' outting to Color Me Mine and we had fun being creative. I decided to add to Jorgen's obsession with Thomas the train and I made him his own bowl/mug (Justin and I already have our own that we made when we were first married so this adds to our collection). I struggled with Thomas' face but the rest of it turned out pretty neat looking. Jorgen uses it every morning for breakfast. Makes me happy:).

We also had fun taking pictures of Jorgen and Shelley for what was supposed to be a Valentines card. But I do not think I will get around to it this year.

Once we got home, Jorgen was happy to play at the park and with his trains again.
Bumper cars in the park.

Shelley has started to disrupt Jorgen's happy train making times:). She is developing quite a liking for his train table and all that goes on and in it! Hopefully he will continue to be patient with her new skills and not be annoyed at her destroying everything he creates.
Somehow she weasels herself under the train table so she can reach the sides to hold onto.
My little Michelin babe!
She is now starting to pull herself up so she can reach the loot inside the drawer. Her world is totally opening up now that she is more mobile. Shelley still is not crawling but she scoots herself around on her bottom pretty much anywhere she wants to go. It is so funny!
