One Month Later...

This might be the longest I have gone without posting. We have been busy around here. We finally were reunited as a family at the first of September and we moved into our new home in Flower Mound, Texas! While Justin was living in Dallas with his brother this summer he worked for PepsiCo and also looked for housing for us. After considering both renting and buying we ended up feeling better about buying and found a wonderful home. We are slowing getting adjusted while we catch up on some much needed family time before Justin starts working for Bain as a consultant.

Here's what we've been up to the last month (pictures of our home will come soon...)

I was able to see two of my dearest friends one last time to celebrate Ashlee's birthday. I miss my Stanford Gals!
We spent a week in St. George with my parents as we waited for our home to close so we could start our two day trek to Dallas. It was fun swimming and spending time together.
Shelley loves being Little Lady Shells!

We started our journey south and conveniently drove through Albuquerque, where two of my favorite gals live! It was so much fun seeing Cecy and Heather and her children. I have missed them so much! Here's our bunch (minus sleeping Heidi). Jorgen was best friends with Ryan when we lived by them at Stanford so it was fun to see them together again after a year apart. We are hoping they will be roommates at BYU someday!

By the time we stopped for the night the children were all tuckered out from driving in the car all day.
Our hotel was right next to this old car lot and Jorgen was ecstatic to find a real life Mater (and let's be honest, so was I!).My dad was my driving companion and we had such a wonderful time talking and spending time together. He was so nice to drive the whole time so I could get things for the children. I could not have done it without him!

And this was our view for 24 hours of driving...My Mom and Grandma were in the van ahead of us.
We drove through two towns that reminded us of our family.
Bushland, Texas for Mckenzie Bush
and then not even two hours later we drove through Memphis, Texas and thought of Shanda and Erik who are living in Memphis, TN. Road trips are so fun!

You know how they say everything is bigger in Texas...well, our first experience that validated that saying was our first gas station stop in Texas. The windshield wipers were ginormous! It was hilarious.
We stopped at Cadillac Ranch and stretched our legs.Elsie and GiGi.
Jorgen and Shelley snoozing just hours away from our new home.We arrived late Wednesday night and had a blast getting familiar with our home. I had never seen it in person so it was quite fun seeing it for the first time. Justin did a great job picking it out. We love it!

We also love spending time with Daddy! He does so many fun things with the children and it has been wonderful having him around all day! We are all going to miss him come October 18th.
Here is Shelley wearing Justin's old football jersey.
Touchdown!
Dancing in the kitchen.
(Probably my favorite picture ever!)We had to sell our bunk bed before we moved because we had no room for it in the POD so the kids currently sleep on mattresses on the floor.
We kept Shelley in a crib until we moved here and she is loving sleeping in a big bed now.We only sometimes find her like this:She is such a doll!Justin found a brand new slip n slide at a garage sale so Jorgen and Justin had fun breaking it in.

We have also spent many hours building with legos I saved from when I was younger.
This is a tribute from Justin and Jorgen to Uncle Miles:
