Here are a few pictures of our home and some of the projects we've been working on.
Before Justin started working, back in September, we decided to refinish our kitchen table. It was a much more time consuming task than we expected but the results were well worth it!
Here is the master sander himself.

We sanded the table and chairs down to the bare wood.

And then stained it (four times!) black.

I found some drapes at a garage sale and used the side panels to reupholster the chairs and still had the valance to use over the window. Darling, if I do say so myself. I then covered the chairs in vinyl so they stay nice and pretty with our growing family.

We also were the blessed recipients of a nice white changing table that used to be my brother's. It has gone unused for several years and my parents packed it into their van when they helped drive me out to the Big D. It didn't quite match in the nursery so we sanded it and painted it RED (four coats!). I am in love! It is just so cute in her room and really added some much needed color! The rug is also a favorite of mine, I want to do carpet angels in it every time I go in there. We found it for super cheap at a rug wholesaler in downtown Dallas.

Elsie just loves having her own room!
She is growing up too fast! She says "dada" on demand and is cutting all four upper teeth right now! She is as sweet as can be and is so fun to cuddle, tickle, dance with and talk to :).

Here is part of the children's bathroom...You know what a toilet looks like so I thought I'd just include the fun wall decor and shower curtain (plus, my camera couldn't zoom out anymore). I had some free fabric that just happened to match perfectly with the shower curtain I bought so I framed it.

Jorgen and Shelley's room is still in the works. But at least they have beds!

The kitchen.
I LOVE my kitchen!

The family room. Nice and open with a great built-in and lots of windows.

A fun wreathe I made, thanks to Jene's idea.

Another wreathe I made thanks to Shanda's idea. Silver Bells.
(I am great at copying other's ideas...it's coming up with my own that I have a hard time doing)

And our tree. It looks so much smaller in our home than it did in our tiny apartment. But I still love it!

That's it for now. The rest of the house will come later.
A huge, picture-filled post of what we've been doing to come shortly...
