So for the past week, my little amazing-at-going-to-sleep-in-his-toddler-bed has turned out to be not so good at going to sleep in his toddler bed. He just realized this week that he likes to get out of bed and play - especially if we come in and play with him. Now, I'm not talking about games mommy and daddy think are fun, oh no, these are games that Jorgen thinks are fun because mommy and daddy get sucked in to playing them with him. Tonight the games are ending.
I thought that what I was doing in the past by going into his room and putting him back in bed when he got out (without a sound or cuddle - strictly business) would work forever. He didn't seem to need it much because he would go to bed so quickly - until this past week. He thought that getting out of bed every time we'd put him back in was so fun because every time he got out, like magic, we would come back in his room. The past few nights it has taken him two hours to finally go to sleep, not to mention many moments of me or Justin going in and putting him back in bed. Tonight, after a long fun game for him, I just left him and he fell asleep at the door. This might become the regular for awhile until he realizes that no one is coming in to play. He just doesn't want to miss out - I can relate:D
The cute boy sleeping soundly with Didi right next to the door.

the pictures and the story don't sound familiar at all!!!!! (the only difference is that the sleeping child was wearing pink and the hair was a bit longer) oh the paybacks!
HA HA HA... This is so cute Bren!!
lol welcome to "toddlerhood" hehehe. We never ended up playing the "games" with T. We just started out by letting him fall asleep at the door and then a bit after he fell asleep we would put him in bed, but for nap times the floor was his bed!! at least he has his didi with him. That is good. have fun, cute pictures.
Thanks love you all
That is hilarious. And to think that you are going to have another little one in less than 20 days to keep you up as well. You've gotta love it. It's all just part of the deal - being a mom I mean. I'm going to make a paper chain today to countdown till you have your baby. I'm so excited for you :)
Been there, done that, sometimes resort to laying there with them...hasn't seemed to form to many bad habits!
yeah we used to lay by the bed so I have pictures of Matt asleep on the floor next to an awake little toddler in bed! ;)
