Proof of our apartment reaching an all time high - 98 degrees! It stayed at 98 until about 10pm one night. We took a car ride with the kids because there is no way Jorgen could sleep in that kind of heat and Shelley ate much better when we were in the air conditioned car.
Poor little baby girl!
This is Jorgen after waking up from him nap. Can you tell how wet his hair is? He walked around drenched in his sweat most of the day....but still a happy camper!
Fortunately, some of our friends, the Wheelwrights, let me take the kids to their air conditioned apartment yesterday while they were out and it was such a blessing because our apartment was 96 degrees when we left. After Justin was finished with work, we picked him up and went to another wonderful family's home. The Crowders let us come to their home to not only enjoy a cool place to hang out but also to watch the last Jazz game of the playoffs. Their sweet girls, Emily and Eliza, took such great care of Jorgen and he has so much fun! We didn't get home until 11pm or so but Jorgen was still chipper as a bird! He was happy to be gone from our sauna of an apartment I think. Thank you Crowders and Wheelwrights for being so good to us!

Brenley,
COME OVER TO OUR HOUSE! It's not air conditioned but it's not 98 degrees, your poor kiddos and poor you! Please, feel FREE to come over ANY TIME! SERIOUS.
wow. that is all i will say.
although, last summer when our a/c broke in july we were in the same position. nowhere was comfortable. well, except a cold tubby!
poor kidlets - i love the picture of jorgen - such a cutie smile!!!! it makes you just want to smooch all over him!
You are always welcome! I just wish we would have checked in with you sooner! Jorgen is such a cutie pie and little Shelley is growing so fast!
Man! You are a trooper. It was 92 last weekend here in Seattle, and we don't have a/c either, but it was only about 83 in our house. I think I would've been heading to the mall or something!
Anyway, I had heard about the birth of your baby girl, and I'm just now checking her out. She is really cute. Congratulations! By the way, I hope I look as good as your Grandma when I'm 88. That is AMAZING!
The hottest we got last summer was 90 degrees and that was completely unbearable! Do you have any fans? I hope you didn't cook anything!
Just a thought coming from someone that is not usually an alarmist but if it gets that hot again I don't know if you should be there with the kids. Little ones can get dehydrated really easy.
