Jet Lag & Some Fun

We are now well over jet lag but here is some proof that the kids, and therefor Justin and me as well, did have a hard time recovering!

The next several pictures were taken by Justin. He was a great sport and got up with the kids in the wee hours of the morning.

We got home late Sunday night and the kids we both wired! We let them stay up until almost 11pm and then put them to bed, hoping they'd sleep through the night!

Such was not the case!
This is what time Shelley decided to wake up.
Perky and alive!
And of course giving Daddy her best smiles!
It was midday for her body so it was like she just took a nap and was ready for the day at 1am.
Justin and I were exhausted beyond belief from traveling over 24 hours so of course television was the only solution.

And Shelley loved it!
She is just hanging out between the couches enjoying her favorite Baby Einstein.
And making sure to copy every move.
Funny pose!
Another beautiful smile! This girl smiles on demand, it is the cutest thing! We say, "1, 2, 3 Smile" and she is smiling before we get to "smile." She is a cutie!

Jorgen eventually also woke up at an early hour.He had fun putting together his puzzles.
And of course Daddy let him watch a train show.
And at 4:30am they were both still awake and happy!
Not to mention, quite hilarious!
After one long week, everyone was back to pacific time and we are glad to be back in our routine!

We were able to go to Shoreline Park for lunch and activities later in the week and we had fun! I am a community associate (sounds professional but it really just means I get to help plan parties for our courtyard and make sure the residents are happy and well...a fun way to stay home and earn a couple bucks) for our courtyard and had a three day training and then finished with this lunch.

Here we are about to get in the paddle boats.

Having fun on the lake.
It is good to be back in sunny California again!

Looks more like Shelley and Jorgen enjoyed jetlag! Movies, treats, individual attention - no wonder they are smiling so big!

Glad you are through it!

What a summer! You are a super mom for doing all of that with two kiddies. It looks like you made some amazing memories. Welcome back to the US. (:

I had a bit of my own jet lag this summer only instead of big happy smiles and fun and games I found myself driving and wondering where I was going etc. etc. Probably the difference between young brain cells and old brain cells....plus I didn't have anyone around to make my jetlag fun....Those two of your have smiles to just make your heart sing...so happy to have you all back in sunny CA! Loves to all!
