Saying Goodbye to Malaysia

These are a little outdated because life has been busy here.

We had to say goodbye to our Malaysian friends!
Looking at these pictures makes me miss seeing these wonderful people everyday at the hotel.

The morning staff at breakfast.
Everyone got to know us pretty well and they all loved seeing the kids each day.

The last week we were there was Ramadan so we heard a lot more calls to prayer and the hotel staff were able to wear their own clothes and not the standard uniform. The hotel also set up this little house in the lobby. Not exactly sure what it was for but the kids liked it.Jorgen playing on the stairs.
Our favorite Bell Boy. He was so nice and Jorgen would always give the men at the door high fives or bones every time we left or entered the hotel. After three months they were best buddies. Our favorite friends, Emerson and Kamryn (and Mom, Shantelle).
We miss them SO much!
This was taken as we were about to board the second flight on our way to Russia. I did not notice it, but there are signs everywhere saying "No Photographs" and I almost got my camera confiscated! Oops! Sure glad I got to keep it, These pictures are so cute I think!
Shelley LOVES to pose for pictures! She is quite the little ham these days!
Goodbye Malaysia, we miss you!

As a side note, here are some things other than the wonderful people that we miss:
  • The sprayer hose in the bathroom :)
  • Our spacious apartment where the kids could run and run and run forever
  • Free breakfast buffet each morning
  • Waffles on the street for 60 cents filled with chocolate - yum!!
  • 100 Plus drink
  • Vicious lightning storms
  • The endearing greeting (hand over heart while bowing head)
  • Really cheap take out
  • Inexpensive jewelry
  • China Town
  • Weekend day trips
  • A huge tub
  • The hotel kiddie pool
  • Watching West Wing a lot of nights
  • The maid service (I did not clean for 11 weeks! Nice!)
  • Everyone pinching our kids' cheeks
And plenty more things!
