Justin did it! He is officially a Stanford graduate and we are so proud of him!
Commencement was on the 12th of June.
This is Justin and his brother when he was in first grade sporting a Stanford sweatshirt.

And here he is with his parents having fulfilled a lifelong dream of his to attend Stanford.

I love the following two pictures of Justin and his Mom.

While we were waiting for the grads to arrive we took some pictures.
Justin's parents:
Nana, Papa and Shelley.

Nana, Papa, Shelley and Jorgen

Papa bonding with Elsie.

Elsie making the classic Hansen squinty face.

Me and my blue-eyed babe!

It was such a neat experience once the commencement music started and the graduate students started filing in. I did not think I would be emotional about it but I think we all got a little teary-eyed when we saw Justin. I am so proud of him.

I love Justin's face in this picture. He was so excited to see his children and his parents.

Because he was one of the last to file in, he got to hold and walk with the children for a little bit.
Shelley and Jorgen were excited to see their Daddy.

After several speeches, it was time for the MBAs to receive their diplomas.
Here is Justin right after we handed off Shelley, Elsie and Jorgen to him so they could go with him on stage.

I am pretty sure Jorgen thought all of the cheers and claps were for him (I think a lot of them were), he was so happy to be up on stage with his Dad and sisters.

Here is Justin, receiving his diploma, with his greatest assets in tow.

Kisses for Daddy

We were able to get a few pictures with some of the dear friends we have made while at Stanford.
Here we are with the Merkeleys.

Justin, Brendon, and Ryan.

The Merkeleys, Prows, and Hansens

This picture makes me laugh!
Elsie was totally off schedule and just tired.
Shelley was sick and really tired.
Jorgen just wanted to play with the rocks.
I am trying to get everyone to look at the camera and smile, I look like I am growling at Jorgen or something.
And then, there is Justin, so put together and handsome amidst the craziness.

Our best attempt.

And here I am with my best friend. I am so proud of him for working so hard and doing so much for me and for our children. I love you, Justin!

Now Justin is in Dallas doing a three month internship before his consulting job starts in October. We are visiting with family in Utah for six weeks before being reunited with Justin. I really do not recommend long distance family life like this. We miss Justin so much!
We are also anxiously awaiting my parents return from their mission is Russia (just one week left!!!). It will be so exciting to see them and give them huge HUGE hugs!

Congratulations on the Stanford Graduation Justin. Great job catching the pictures of the day even the growling at Jorgen one which is pretty funny. Great memories for you all. Have some fun this summer. You might like that dinosaur museum near the Pt of the Mountain near Jordan I think.
