Kindergarten!

Apparently, August came and went with only a few pictures on my camera! I think part of it was that I got an iPhone and I use that for a lot of pictures and videos lately. But the pictures I did take are very exciting ones!

JORGEN started KINDERGARTEN!

He absolutely loves it and has adjusted to all day kindergarten so well. I thought all day would be hard on both of us but it goes by so fast and I now I cannot imagine having him in only half day. When I asked him if he missed me at all the first couple days, he said, "No Mom, I'm too busy to miss you!" It actually made me so happy that he is actively engaged and loving everything! I started a journal, thanks to Justin's idea, that lists something he learns each day at school. It has been fun thinking talking to him about all that he learns and seeing him grow and develop in this way. He is such a charmer and a good listener. The teacher has always said great things about him whenever I see her so I am happy he is doing well.

His teacher is Mrs. Brown and the first thing he told us when he got home his first day was, "Mrs. Brown is the Queen!" She is the queen of Brownsville! I love it. She is such a great teacher and we have several friends in the area whose children had her and they loved her. He brings home pictures and stories everyday that make my day. We all miss having him around at home but it has been so nice having more time with Shelley and Elsie. Shelley is getting a lot more alone time with Mom and we are really loving it. The girls get to excited when it is time to go get Jorgen. Shelley always runs up to him the second she sees him and they give the longest embraces. They are such good buddies! We love our Jorgen and are so proud of him!

Jorgen is such a cutie! Time will start to fly now - I still wish you were in kindergarten - well maybe not - that would mean I wouldn't have all my amazing grand children.

What a GREAT idea to have a journal that says everything he learns - I love it and just might steal that idea from you and Justin! Jorgen looks so cute and that's awesome that he is loving it so much!
