this afternoon jorgen and i were off to try out the new camera while going on a little nature walk. on our way there, justin called and said he was finished with work early and so we went and picked up him instead and headed to costco so we could miss the mad saturday rush. it was a fun costco trip, we tried out the hot dog and pizza that they have there that we've always wanted to get but other than that it was uneventful, or so we thought. as i was about to lift happy little jorgen out of the shopping cart justin noticed what he thought was some of his hot dog relish and mustard ALL over jorgen's back. eawwwww, he thought...until he realized that no way could his mustard and relish have smoothered the child's back. the realization of what was actually covering jorgen's back set in and he quickly told me to stop and look at jorgen's back side. if words could only describe the scene. it was gross, gross, gross...that's all i can say! i guess the way he was sitting made all of his hearty bowel movement go straight up and out his diaper, all over his back (which included his shirt, shorts, shopping cart bars and it actually made it's way to his legs, shoulders, arms and somehow got on daddy's shirt!?!). i passed the drenched-in-his-own-feces child to justin and we began the quarantine process. i used more wipes than i use in a week! it was everywhere. jorgen was unaffected...he must have been happy to get all of that out because he was laughing and jabbering the whole time. we stripped him down to nothing and wiped all that we could off of him. it was a nasty job and i was so glad that out of all the times we've gone to costco, this was the time jorgen decided to explode because justin was there to help. it would have been misery trying to quarantine the child by myself. we came home, bathed the babe and he is now pleasantly sleeping. the pictures represent the semi-clean jorgen in his car seat with nothing but a diaper on. another day done, and many more to come. glad i brought the camera to take pictures of our 'nature walk'...which turned into 'what nature can do' outing.

You just have to absolutely love that smile!!! Good thing his Mom and Dad have such a great sense of humor and thank heavens Justin was there to help! Serves him right. I think he did that to me at least a time or two but who's telling.........love you all three (four)
