The Hansens

After the Redwood forest, we went to a park. It was such a neat park with lots of new things Jorgen has never been on. Jorgen loved climbing, sliding, playing with some random kid’s ball, and just running around. Besides the mating fire bugs, the park was fantastic!










































We had to head back to Palo Alto because Justin had a quick meeting with a professor but when we got there he had a message from that professor asking to postpone the meeting - blessing in disguise. We took the longer way home and it turned into be quite the beautiful, and tummy-turning, car ride. What a fantastic view!

We went home and had a late lunch/snack and then Justin said that our friends, Kelli and Matt, who were so thoughtful to make me a birthday cake, wanted us to come over a few hours earlier to celebrate because it worked better for them. So we quickly headed out the door. When we go there, I was surprised to find out that the birthday cake was going to have to wait until later because Kelli was going to watch Jorgen (keep in mind that she is having her fourth child on Tuesday – so nice of her to take on another child for us) while Justin took me on a date! Fun – a date! Dates are hard to come by these days! We went to a movie and then found this cute and super tasty Mexican restaurant. We shared the yummiest burrito ever! It was fun to have some alone-adult time with Justin. He is my very best friend and I love him so much! I’m just crazy about him!!! We got back to Kelli’s home and ate some super yummy dark chocolate cheesecake that Matt made – he’s the best cook and baker!

We came home, put Jorgen to bed and had more time together. It was a perfect day! I told Justin that is was the best day because I got to spend it with my best friend all day! I had the best birthday!
