Filoli Gardens

We enjoyed another fun day trip yesterday morning. We headed to Filoli Gardens. It was so gorgeous and fun for everyone. While there, I learned that a few shots from "The Wedding Planner" were filmed here. It is an estate and botanical gardens that the last owner (in 1975) donated to the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The name of the estate is an acronym formed by combining the first two letters from the key words of the first owner's credo: "Fight for a just cause; Love your fellow man; Live a good life." I thought that was neat.

When we arrived, we saw a group of women and one man dressed up in fancy, olden day clothes. We thought they were employees part of a welcoming committee. Turns out, it was just a group of friends, coming to enjoy the grounds in style :). I did not get a very good picture of them.
Our family in front of the house.
A shy Shells. After a warm up shot she was back to her usual, smiley self.
I did not get too many pictures of Jorgen because he was constantly running and exploring the grounds. I am not that quick these days!
Miss Shell

This girl l.o.v.e.s. her Daddy!

More tight squeezes for Daddy.
Our friends, the Macdonalds, came with us and all the children had so much fun together.
Kenna and Jorgen started dancing around on the stage and were having a blast.
Shelley and Sadie decided to join in the fun and all the children danced to their own music for the longest time!
The happy bunch after dancing. And a picture of the solo male.

Shelley and some more pretty flowers (Justin's favorite ones).

My girl.
I love this picture of Jorgen!

Flowers, so many flowers!!
We had a wonderful time!

Two days past my due date and still no baby....but we are enjoying the time we have to still go out and about and explore.

Beautiful pictures Brenley! I see you are staying active, trying to convince that baby to make an appearance! My dad took my mom on a very rough jeep ride on Christmas day up to the cross on the Redwood City hills above Woodside Plaza area at the future Grandmas request. She wanted to see me before she had to go back South to home. Oh I was born the next day the 26th.
