Happiness

I've had a birthday, shout hurray!
One year older! I still feel like I am stuck at 24 and yet I am creeping extremely close to 30! I cannot believe it! Where has all the time gone?!!

This is taken on my birthday, 37 weeks pregnant! And wow, what a belly!
I told Justin all I wanted was an ice cream cake and he delivered exceptionally!
This is the cake before Justin and the children decorated it.
It had the yummiest crust that Justin made. He is the best!

I do not know what it is, but both our children love to smile squinty-style!
They look so similar, I think.
Decorating the cake...Again, squinty-style...Love it!
I got lots of hugs and kisses all day long! I love my family!
It was a great birthday! Having children makes birthdays so much more fun I think. The whole day is more exciting because they are so excited for everything!

On a funny side note: Jorgen surprised me one day with this...He made a wood track and managed to fill every inch of it with his wood trains and his Thomas and Friends trains. Can you tell this boy loves trains! THANK YOU to Shanda for handing down all of the beloved Thomas and Friends trains almost two years ago! Jorgen loves them so much and Shelley (who refers to them as 'traims') even loves to play with them. We have put them to good use!
And little miss Shells loves to hide in between small spaces. This is the space between the dishwasher and hutch. Jorgen has definitely passed down the love for hide and seek to her. We play daily games of hide and seek and Shelley is getting really good at it, she hardly makes a sound now when she hides; it's pretty hysterical how serious she takes her hiding!

Happy Birthday! I missed your courtyard party today. Life with a three-month-old is tough to plan. It looks like you had a great birthday and hope your courtyard party was a good one too!

So, Justin (and all of you) are invited to my birthday next year - but Justin is in charge of the cake! =)

I love the trains! Looks like something Ty would do. I had a good chat with Justin a while ago and we think Ty and Jorgen would have a great time together...and give their parents a run for their money! =)

Also - you look super cute! I'm glad you were able to enjoy some girl time. What a nice treat! Can't wait to see pictures of your new little one upon arrival! HOORAY! It's getting so close!
