Last weekend we went to our first Stanford Football game. It was the first game of the season so there was a lot of excitement and even some fireworks! Jorgen got to meet the mascot - the infamous Tree! We wondered how Jorgen and Shelley would like their first football game and it turns out Jorgen has lots of Hansen blood in him. Look at the look of concentration he has in some of the pictures - I never got it on camera but Jorgen would say, "GO GO GO GO!!!!" whenever one of the players would run with the ball - it was so funny! He just needs to learn what team to cheer for now...he would clap our shout 'yeah!' whenever anyone else would, even if it was the opposing team's fans. Shelley just enjoyed being held by her parents - she's so content and sweet....oh we love her so much!! We left at half time - I don't think the kids are ready for an entire football game yet - and Stanford ended up winning! Go Stanford!

How fun, I heard the fireworks from my window and wondered what the heck was going on! I love her headbands, we really need to get together and make some accessories!

We love football too! But, JC, are you sure you want to go to a school with such a goofy looking mascot? I don't know, it might taint the whole experience! XXOO

besides that though Jorgen is definitely following in his daddy's footsteps (he knows a good thing when he sees it!)
i think you should be a little more politically correct next time though and dress shelley in red - pink just doesn't quite make it for football!
