Saturday we spend the morning at the KL Bird Park. We all had a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed it so much. We went with our friends, Shantelle and her two girls, Emerson and Kamryn. We love spending time with our new friends. It is the perfect situation for both Shantelle and I because all of her friends (all international teachers) are in their home countries for the summer and I have no friends here:). We see each other often and try to plan fun things for our kids.The bird park was incredible. It is the largest free-flight bird park. We had fun holding birds, nearly getting pooped on by a few of them, watching birds from close up and far away, and just enjoying the beautiful park. At the end of the bird park, there is a playground so the kids had fun running around some more.
Today, we met up at the KL aquarium. No flashes were allowed close up to the tanks so I did not get any good pictures but it was nonetheless spectacular seeing so many big sharks, sting rays and other variety of fish so close. Jorgen and Shelley both equally loved it. It was fun seeing them get so excited about everything.

The smaller sting rays were sliding up to the tank and splashing water out. Here, Jorgen is blowing a kiss to the sting ray;)

Jorgen thought all the 'nemos' were so amazing! He kept looking for Nemo's friend.(Sorry for the poor quality, Shantelle's iphone picture...my battery ran out!)
After the aquarium, we headed to KLCC park and in honor of our fishy friends, Jorgen and Shelley made an octopus in the swing.

i think jorgen enjoyed it much more when mommy had the birds on her - not when they were on him! he looked a little worried!
it looks like justin wins for the most birds, but bren's were bigger - and she had a child on her lap!

How fun. Those birds look amazing!! So big and colorful. What a fun day. My girls would have freaked out with all those birds flying around but I would have loved it. I love the last picture I have never thought to put two kids in I am going to have to try that!!

WoW! Cool place. I went with Natalie and the boys to Tracy Aviary today but your bird park is fantastic! Loved the expressions...Jorgen did look worried. I want to write more...maybe tomorrow. Have to dash...love to you all and hugs too!
OK...I also wanted to so I am SO HAPPY you have found some friends...I have to say the girls are darling. Makes it all so much better. I looked again at the "bird perching on people" pictures....what a riot...Jorgen's expressions. If the Stanford MBA thing doesn't work out maybe you could start a family/bird act or something! Loves......
