Jorgen was seven months before he had anything other than my milk and I was planning to do the same with Shelley. However, she has been so interested in what we eat lately so I decided to give it a go. And boy was she excited!! Jorgen and I were eating soup for dinner and Shelley was sitting in the bumbo in front of us. I looked up at her at one point and saw her staring at Jorgen with her mouth wide open (probably ready to drool) just watching him put food in his mouth. It was so funny! So I made some rice cereal to give it a go. And what a successful go it was! She totally loved it and did so well! I don't remember the first time being this easy with Jorgen. It was like she has been waiting for me to give it to her.
She would grab the spoon and shove it into her mouth, and surprisingly, most of it would stay in there. It's like she knew what all of this meant and that it was finally her turn to have food!
I bet she'll be feeding herself in no time;)

A happy girl! Can't wait to feed her again tonight! And our cute little Shelley has contacts in both eyes now! I think it's so fascinating what they can do for eyes these days. She LOVES being able to see better. We've totally noticed a difference and feel so grateful for the doctors who've been so amazing!!

I love how our little blogs have similar postings at the same time :) It's fun having kids around the same ages!! I love the fourth picture of Shelley...well, I love them all, but that one is probably my favorite!! I am so glad that you notice a difference with the contacts! She's such a sweety!!
A girl after my own heart. I love foot and to eat!! Yum. Even rice cereal but it probably isn't at the top of my list. What a beauty she is and those eyes are wonderful! So bright and shining. Miss you all so much!!!
